Here are some places to go/things to do in Chicago that were recommended by the training facility where I was in training. I've been to most of these and agree that they should be on the list of things you want to do in Chicago. I have no idea what order these are in.

Shedd Aquarium

The Art Institute of Chicago

One of Chicago's world-class institutions. Showcases paintings, drawing, photography and textiles.

Sears Tower Skydeck
233 S. Wacker Drive
Enjoy a birds-eye view from the 103rd floor. At 1,353 feet, the Skydeck is the highest observatory in Chicago.

The Hancock Observatory

Feel "The Windy City" on Skywalk, Chicago's highest open air viewing deck.
