Our normal Friday night dinner - on a Saturday nigh again We went to the Zhu Garden and had the Drunken Noodles and hot-and-sour soup. We also split the steamed dumplings. Matthew went with us tonight.

We drove up to Oak Ridge for lunch today. We ate at the Soup Kitchen (great place for a meal). I had the German Beer Soup - it was like a potato soup, but not creamy- you could taste the beer. I also had a slice of their mexican cornbread - I love that stuff!
Breakfast today was a quick grab-and-go. I wasn't very hungry, so I had a glass of OJ and a banan - looking forward to lunch!

Dinner tonight was a small salad and 1/2 of a Totino's pizza. Nice.
I had a great lunch today. Lori prepared a new Campbell's soup (Spicy Chorizo and Pulled Chicken with Black Beans) and made a turkey wrap to go with it. Delicious.
Another standard breakfast of an egg on a bagel thin with cheese and a glass of OJ.

I took a different route to the bike after Math class yesterday - that seems to be adding about 700 more steps to my daily walking.
Had a Lori-made salad for dinner tonight. Great as always.
I had a frozen meal for lunch today. An Atkins "Beef Merlot". It was pretty good, but left-overs would have been better.
Good ol' standard breakfast today. Egg and cheese on a bagel thin with a glass of OJ.

Dinner tonight was odd. I grabbed a pop-tart and an Atkins light meal/snack bar on the way to Karate.
Left-over pork and broccoli and cheese was on the menu today. I can't imagine people that do not like left overs, I think they are great!
Back to my same old routine. A Thomas'® Everything Bagel Thins® Bagels (had to look that up for entry into FitBit.com) with an egg and cheese and a glass of OJ. No Yogurt this morning.

Lori and I "stepped" it up today. We went to the dam and walked around for about a mile.
Lori fixed some chicken tonight to match a meal that I love from the Moose Cafe in Asheville. The meal is honey-mustard chicken, but their honey-mustard is clearly homemade, so Lori did the same. She combined honey and mustard until the flavor was just right! Then I had a side of corn and broccoli & cheese to round it out.
Yesterday marked the end of the first week of the level up challenge at work. It has been an interesting experience so far. My goal this week was simple - 18,000 steps total. That's an average of 2,572 per day. Since this was the first week, I really tried to not do anything special - I wanted to see where I was naturally. I was surprised to see that I fell short of even that goal! I walked 16,857 steps for an average of 2,408 per day.
The goal is to be up to 10,000 steps per day at the end of the 8 week period. So I'm going to have to take some steps (no pun intended) to get there. I'm going to start small - step one will be going for a walk today (getting back into the Summer routine of walking with Lori). Then I plan to do a bit more walking around campus to/from class - that should bring the numbers up a bit.
We'll see where this gets me at the end of the week and adjust to see just how I can get to the 10K per day.

Lori and I went to Soccer Taco in Maryville this evening. I had Asada Huaraches - the hot sauce they give with that meal is WONDERFUL. Love it!
The place was busy - busier than I've ever seen it. I think that's a good sign. I really like going there and hate to think that they may not have enough business to last.
Lori and I both had some left-overs (about 1/2 of the meal). We're planning to take those left-overs, add a fried egg on top and have it for breakfast in the morning. We're looking forward to it!
Had breakfast at home today - not my standard! It was eggs and sausage this time - good stuff!
